Life\u2019s competitive youth climbing program, reserved for athletes who have demonstrated skill, determination, and commitment. Training emphasizes sport-specific and competition-specific preparation on the Divisional and National stage and beyond. Admission is by invitation only, primarily extended to athletes from our U-11 program, and requires an evaluation conducted by the Head Coach.<\/p>\n Team Vertical members are leaders in the community \u2014 in their climbing and in the way they carry themselves. Athletes are held to high conduct standards and are expected to compete in a minimum of 4 competitions per season, with participation in USA Climbing competitions mandatory.<\/p>\n The team trains three times a week, three hours per session. Once a week we have a Team Trainer that focuses on strength training at the end of practice. Named for the USA Climbing “Under 11” age category, U-11 meets twice a week for two hours per session \u2014 because making meaningful progress in climbing requires at least two days of practice a week.<\/p>\n U-11 serves as the primary pathway to Team Vertical for athletes on a competitive track, and to Level 3 for those pursuing recreational climbing. In either direction, the program builds a strong foundation.
